Although I am reluctant to post pictures that have not been taken professionally, my photographer is not available at present. I retook these with different light and they look (a bit) better. All are 8x8x2.
PS#15: Best Love. An old card plus a tintype photo. Last one for awhile. Need to get them professionally shot.
PS#14: Evacuation of the Children. during the war, many children were separated from their parents; some never saw them again. Just read the Orphan Train which speaks of this as well.
Here's PS #13- I'm Waiting which I finished but forgot to post. At the bottom are her folded arms (not visible with this poor image). She represents a war widow. Must take these to my photographer soon!
PS series#12- Prisoner of War. With the feel of WW II due to the chosen papers, this still deals with communication from there to home during the war. Letters and cards got lost for months; delivered eventually sometimes.
Postcard Series #11 The Trail. Here, I experimented with creating some topography with a palette knife and some heavy medium. Then I painted over it. Once I collaged the maps and tissues, I worked with them so that the raised background would show.
